Exciting to watch & learn, love the video's. However, difficult without a glass of the same wine to enjoy while watching your video and accesment of this vintage Pinot. Maybe next time you will let us know what your about to taste and where to get it so we can enjoy it with our video lesson. Cheer!

That is a really good point. A lot of times I do not know until last minute myself what I am in the mood for when it comes to tasting and sharing my thoughts on, but I will certainly take it under consideration and maybe we'll see it in the future...
Cheers!

I really am enjoying your Blog. We've lived in Santa Barbara a long time and lived in Sweden for several years. Do you ever have a combination Swedish Smargasbord and Wine tasting. I would love to pair some of the Rusack wines with the food recipes from the Aquivit Restaurant cookbook I have. Please let me know om det ar possible.....Tak sa mycket...

What a coincidence, I lived in Santa Barbara for one year about 5 years ago. And we go down freqently to visit. Where in Sweden did you use to live?
I have not had a Swedish Smorgas bord with wine tasting but it is absolutely possible. The biggest challenge I see is finding a wine to pair with "Sill" (pickled herring) I think I would stick to the "Snaps" with that one.
I haven't had wine from Rusack in quite a while. But I remember their Syrah beeing really good. I will have to try their wine soon again.
I love Marcus Samuelsons cookbook from Aquavit. I actually visited his restaurant when we were in New York last fall. Unfortunately we did not have a chance to dine there, but we did have a couple of great cocktails in the bar. He has quite a few Swedes working at his place so I got a chance to speak some Swedish to. Next time we'll have to stay for dinner.
Tack sa mycket for din "comment", hoppas pa att hora mer fran dig...

I found your blog through google. I was looking for a review on Black Kite Pinot Noir. You were the only one who had any info. Thank you. Enjoyed your video of James MacPhail's 2004 Goodin Pinot Noir. I had just drank an entire bottle by myself over the course of a week. I am a big MacPhail fan. I suggest you try the 2003 MacPhail Russian River Pinot Noir. It is his best. And check out the MacPhail Pratt, Toulouse, and Sangiacomo too. YUMMY!
